Consider the flowers in the fields

Consider the flowers in the fields
Consider the crops and their yields
Think of the bees tirelessly working
No days off and no days shirking
Marvel at nature’s industry
The insects’ ceaseless odyssey
Flying, climbing, crawling, dipping,
Diving in proboscis sipping
Ignorant of pollination
They ensure the procreation
Of smallest plants and soaring trees
And in the end the you’s and me’s
So, before you start to spray
Remember the role that insects play
Ensuring you have food to eat
And flowers to smell with perfume sweet
